EOTC even closer now!
Thank you to all the families who are sorting gear etc with children for next week. It will certainly help the week flow better.
Just a wee reminder to those few that haven't yet paid. It would be great if this could be paid by the end of the week. Many thanks.
Also please ensure children have a drink bottle and plenty of healthy food next week. We won't be here for Friday Treat lunch.
Lets hope the weather is kind to us - it is looking good on the long range forecast.
Kind regards

EOTC Week
This is going to be a great week but you all have to be super organised to make it all happen.
Monday will be biking to Clive.
Some reminders for the week.
Have you got someone to check your bike with you and also to fit your helmet correctly?
Sort out your rain jacket and your thermal (polypro) gear.
Other days activities.
Do you have a wetsuit organised? Or do you need to see me to help you organise one.
Are your clothes named?
Do you have a fishing rod organised. bait?
Have you talked at home about healthy food, morning tea and lunch packed separately? Do you have water bottle sorted?
A Hat?
Sunscreen?
Make a start on organising some of this before the weekend please. And while you are doing this hum and sing our powhiri songs!

Boating Safety
We were privileged to have Janine and Captain Phil (harbour master) to talk to us about boating safety. They showed us how to correctly wear life jackets, and the things we need to do to be safe when boating.

Tyler at Chess.
Tyler was our only class representative at the Hastings District Chess Tournament on Friday. Te Mata did very well - we hope you had a good day Tyler.
EOTC week is Coming!
Thank you to all those parents who attended the meeting last week. The information pack will be in bags on Monday night. We would really appreciate these coming back to school as soon as possible so we can continue our planning.
It is also a good idea to start thinking about bikes, wetsuits warm clothing, raincoats etc. In the past the weather has ranged from35 degree days to bitterly cold and pouring with rain.
It is a fun week.
