Project Huia
Amelia stopped in the Manawatu Gorge over the weekend and found this sign. Good spotting Amelia and thank you for sharing it with us.
Does it make any connections with what we have found out since reading the book 'Project Huia' by Des Hunt?

ANZAC Assembly
Room 22 put on a very moving Assembly yesterday. It was showing that we can remember the past in different ways - through books, services such as the Dawn Parade and also through song. We asked the school to think about questions they might have and to make connections with what they already know.

Our Field of Remembrance
Today Rm 21 and Rm 22 made the crosses for the Field of Remembrance. It involved many maths skills as we had to measure very precisely to make sure everything was straight.
Mr Keip and Murray helped some people arrange them outside under the 'big tree'. Thank you very much.
Please feel free to look - all the soldiers and people remembered were from this local area.
