AMP with Mrs Wilkie and Mrs Rickman

Room 22 are very glad to be participating in AMP (Accelerated Maths Program) with Mrs Wilkie and Mrs Rickman. For this the class splits in four groups, each with a teacher helping them (our student teacher Miss Bassett and Mrs Legarth included). We are the last Senior Class to have this.
Having a teacher with each group speeds up our maths and we learn a lot more. Thanks Mrs Wilkie and Mrs Rickman!

Ciao Ms Bassett

Room 22 is very lucky this term, as we have the wonderful student teacher, Ms Bassett, with us for 4 weeks this term.

She has planned a skipping fitness programme, which we are enjoying, and she has planned argument writing with us. We are also learning italian, with our " Pasta or Pavlova" inquiry.
Here are some Italian words

Come Stai (com e sti) -how are you?
Bene ( Ben e) -good
Male (ma le) -bad
Molto Bene (mol to ben e) -very good
Molto Male( mol to ma le) -very bad

Chess Champion

Congratulations Finley!
We are so proud of you!

Finley won the Year Six Division of the Hawke's Bay Chess Tournament on Friday. Finley won all five games. Great effort!
Ten players from Te Mata entered the competition and they played extremely well - all winning at least three games.

Thank you to Mr Duncan, Mrs Turley, and Mrs Speers for their help.

Our Champion - Finley.
